Grunge Cantina

Always fun to play the Richmond. It’s such a historic venue in London, and the energy in that room is always awesome. What a great time playing back-to-back weekends at two great London venues. We're keeping the momentum going and we'll be back at the end of the month on the 30th at the new Pierside Pub in Hyde Park.

London, it’s about damn time. Last night at Eastside Bar & Grill marked our first show in the city this year, and you all absolutely delivered the vibe.

There’s nothing quite like that raw energy of a packed room, and seeing the dance floor tearing it up was awesome. Massive shoutout to the Eastside staff for keeping the chaos organized and the taps flowing, as always. And a huge thanks to Mike behind the board—he is a wizard.

What an awesome debut. Last night we hit the stage at Fortress Tavern X in Chatham for the first time, and it’s officially a killer venue for live music.

We got to the venue early enough to catch the hot dog eating contest before our set. Massive congrats to the champion who managed to take down 10 of those things. Honestly, after watching that go down, we’re not sure any of us in the band are ever eating a hot dog again. Brutal.

The weather turned pretty nasty on us last night, but that didn't stop you from packing the place. A massive thanks to everyone who braved the elements and showed up to make it a great night—the energy in the room was exactly what we needed.

What a killer night.

We headed down to the St. Thomas Legion last night, and it was incredible to see so many of you out there, filling the room and tearing up the dance floor. The vibe was exactly what we needed—loud, energetic, and full of heart.

Massive respect to everyone who came through the doors to support Kael. It means the world to see the community show up for such an important cause.

This past Sunday we had the honour of taking part in the very first annual MS Music fundraiser at Eastside Bar & Grill. What an incredible day — the event raised an amazing $6000 for MS, and it was inspiring to see so many people come together for such a worthy cause.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who made the day run so smoothly, and to the staff at Eastside for keeping everyone looked after. Also huge thanks to all the other bands who shared the stage, and especially to The Do-Overs for inviting us…

Last night Grunge Cantina brought the noise back to Pierside Pub in Port Stanley. The weather was cool but nice and clear – a perfect late-summer night by the lake.

The crowd was absolutely awesome and engaged from the first song to the last. We even had a first-ever occurrence of someone breaking out “the worm” at a Grunge Cantina show – a true highlight that we won’t forget anytime soon.

Eastside was buzzing last night. From the opening crash of “Anthem for the Year 2000” to the final notes of “Killing in the Name Of,” the tight-knit crowd up front was engaged all night long and turned a modest head-count into major energy.
